This site is a tribute to John.

John Appleby - 1938 to 2023

Wolverhampton, UK - John passed away at the Hunters Lodge Care Centre on November 28th 2023, after battling Parkinson's disease. He was with Kathleen, his loving wife and partner of the last 20+ years.

He leaves behind his wife, Kathleen. They were together for over 20 years and married for 19 of those years. His son Gary and his wife Michelle.  John was pre-deceased by his first wife Maureen (1995) and his son Stephen (2020). 

John spent the majority of his working career in the Retail (Furniture) Sales Industry and occupied many roles in which he could leverage his talent for Sales and Management.

John enjoyed traveling extensively and for the last two decades split his home base between Wolverhampton, UK and Folly Beach, South Carolina, USA.  It would be fair to say that all of those that met John, would be engaged with his convivial conversation and his warm and caring manner.

He is much loved and will always be remembered.

John’s family would like to thank everyone for their love, kindness and support given at this sad time.
